ACADEMIC INTEGRITY POLICY
Copyright Consent & Academic Integrity
Ownership of Submission Rights, AI Utilization Guidelines
and Academic Integrity Acknowledgement
* Ownership of Copyright
In accordance with relevant laws and regulations, the copyright for all creative works and outputs submitted by the participants shall belong to the respective participant as the creator.
* Scope of Utilization by the Organizing Committee
For the purposes of competition management, public disclosure (official archiving), and the promotion of outcomes, the participant agrees that the Organizing Committee may utilize the submitted outputs on a non-exclusive basis (including reproduction, editing, exhibition, distribution, and the creation of derivative works). This includes posting on the official website and social media channels, as well as publishing competition outcome reports and excellent case guidelines. (Note: The host organization shall not sell or dispose of the creative works to a third party for profit without the separate written consent of the participant.)
* AI Utilization and Protection of Human Creative Contribution
1) Human-Centric Creativity:
While this competition permits the use of AI technology as a creative tool, it places the highest value on and respects the human creativity and logical contribution of the youth participants who command these tools.
2) Principles of Copyright and Creative Contribution (Dual Evaluation System):
Outputs generated entirely and automatically by AI tools may have limited copyright protection under current laws and regulations. However, for final outputs where the participant proactively plans the core ideas and analyzes, edits, or refines the AI-generated results through a unique human perspective—thereby reflecting a substantial level of human creative contribution—this competition respects the participant’s human creativity and original contribution within the scope permitted by relevant laws, and strongly supports the importance of protecting such rights.
3) ECI (Educational Creativity Index, Human Creativity Contribution Index):
All participants are required to submit a written memorial (brief). If AI tools are utilized, participants may optionally submit an ECI (Educational Creativity Index) report during the preliminary round to receive bonus points. However, upon advancing to the Quarterfinals (Round of 8), the submission of an ECI report becomes a mandatory requirement to verify the creative process.
4) Assumption of Liability:
If a participant infringes upon a third party's existing copyright during the process of utilizing AI tools, or submits false or inaccurate content due to data errors (hallucinations), the participant shall bear sole liability. Upon advancing to the main rounds, participants must directly defend and explain the rationale of their submitted memorials through a live, oral Q&A session before the panel of judges.
5) Academic Integrity:
By agreeing to this pledge, you commit to adhering to the highest standards of academic integrity throughout the entire duration of the competition. If you do not agree to these terms, you will not be eligible to apply for this competition.
